If your film is going to be screened for more then two weeks, you will need two theaters.

What percentage of the box office goes to marketing budgets?

Marketing budgets account for approximately 20% to 40% of film budgets. Because marketing is vital to any film's success,

Without marketing, nobody will know anything about your film. People won't pay for it if they don’t know about it.

How many films does Hollywood make in a given year?

Hollywood studios produce about 3,000 films each year. That's right, three thousand!

Hollywood spends billions advertising these films. They spend millions to produce them. They also spend millions promoting them. But how many do you think actually end up getting released into theaters?

The answer is most likely between 200 and 300. What happens to the 2,700+ additional films? The majority of these films are either direct-to video releases or sit in storage.

They are not all destined to be overlooked. Some of them have been selected for distribution via Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Google Play, etc.

So why don't we see more of them? Why are they not released in theaters? Because they are too expensive to make.

They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.

This is where I come in. I can help you to find the best way to get your film into theaters.

I will show you how to maximize the return on your investment (ROI), and increase your chances of seeing your film in theaters.

Because let's face it...

It can be very difficult to get your film in theaters. The process can be complex and lengthy.

It may also cost you plenty of money before you even get started.

You have a very short window in which to distribute your film.

There is simply not enough time between the end of a film and when it goes on its theatrical run.

What are the salaries of actors?

The average actor's salary ranges between $1 million and $100,000 depending on whether the film is independent or a movie. The typical actor earns around $10,000 to $20,000 per movie. What is the difference between a producer and a distributor?

Produced by a producer, the movie is produced. The movie is distributed via a distributor. Distributors, theaters and other companies, such as Netflix, can be sold directly by producers. Distributors buy movies from producers. They then make them available for sale to theaters as well cable channels and streaming services.

Distributors must negotiate with theater owners where their movies will be shown. This can mean that different theaters may charge different prices for a movie. A distributor should have multiple theaters in order to ensure that your movie is seen by as many people possible.

Is Hollywood larger than Bollywood?

Producing a movie that is well-received by the public is the biggest challenge for film producers.

Problem is, there are many films competing for viewers' time and money. You won't be noticed if your movie isn't unique.

What makes a movie a success? What makes an actor famous? Or a director? Talent is not enough. It also requires luck. It doesn't matter if your actors are the best in the world. But a poor script will make you lose everything.

There are two types of films: independent productions and blockbuster movies with big budgets. Blockbuster movies cost hundreds of millions of dollars to produce and distribute. They are typically made by huge studios who want to ensure that their movies reach a wide audience. But big-budget films appeal more to older audiences.

Independent films, which are typically smaller-scale productions, can be financed either by individual investors or groups. These films tend to target niche markets and are tailored to specific tastes. These films are typically less expensive to produce and sell. This doesn't necessarily mean they are cheaper to watch. Most indie films are difficult to find.

We need both types? Is it necessary to have both blockbuster and independent movies? Hollywood is more important than Bollywood. Hollywood produces nearly twice as many movies annually as India.

How to get an honor star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce founded the Hollywood Walk of Fame, HWOF (Hollywood Walk of Fame) in 1960. The HWOF's Los Angeles location is at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It has 2,711 stars embedded in the Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk. Each star is a symbol of someone who contributed to the production of motion pictures, television, radio and theater or other aspects popular culture. The HWOF currently lists 1,922 people.

You will need to submit your application to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in order to be considered for membership to the HWOF. Once submitted, your name will be sent to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Once approved, you receive a certificate of eligibility, which includes your name, date of birth, city of residence, occupation, and category. A bronze plaque with your name inscribed on it is also included. This plaque is attached to a concrete base located in front of the designated Star.

You may apply to be a star if you are nominated by a HWOF member or if you make significant contributions to television, radio, TV, theatre, music or other forms of "popular culture". A committee evaluates all nominations and then decides whether to approve them. If they decide to approve, they write a letter to the address of the applicant explaining their decision. The person who accepts the nomination will receive a second confirmation letter. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then charges $25 and forwards the money on to the City of Los Angles Department of Cultural Affairs.

The department issues a cheque payable to the Hollywood Chamber of commerce. It then sends the check the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays artists or organizations whose applications were accepted. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce receives half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs receives the remaining half.

Once an artist has received their star, he/she is eligible to be listed in the HWOF. You must pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce the balance due to be included on the HWOF. The amount due depends on how many years ago you were first nominated. For example, $15,000. Suppose you were first nominated as a nominee in 1990. You would be responsible for $10,000 if you had been nominated previously in 1980.

If you want to remove yourself from the HWOF, you need to contact the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and pay off the remainder of your debt. They will remove your name from this list.

How old do you have to be in order to receive a star on HWOF?

You must be at the least 18 year old to be nominated. To receive a star, one must be alive at that time. After receiving a Star, one can still be Nominated for another star after ten Years.

What happens if I die before my star gets put up?

Nominating you can be done by family members. If there are no living relatives, then the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will place a memorial marker in front of the star.

Why can't people choose to use a different street than having stars all over the place?

The HWOF doesn't intend to be historical monument. It's meant to be a tribute to those who have contributed to film history.

What happened the star thefts? Around 1,200 stars were taken by the thieves. Each star is approximately 250-300 lbs in weight. That's about 4 tons of stars!
